AP Mentoring Fee Waiver

The AP Mentoring fee waiver provides funds for teachers at high schools serving minority or low-income students who have been traditionally underrepresented in AP courses to participate in the AP Mentoring program. The fee waiver covers the registration fee to participate in both semesters (fall and spring) of one school year. 

Teachers must: 

1. Plan to teach one of the following AP courses in the 2024-25 academic year: 
   • AP African American Studies
   • AP Art and Design (2-D, 3-D, and Drawing) 
   • AP Biology 
   • AP Calculus AB 
   • AP Calculus BC 
   • AP Chemistry 
   • AP Computer Science A 
   • AP Computer Science Principles 
   • AP English Language and Composition 
   • AP English Literature and Composition 
   • AP French Language and Culture 
   • AP Macroeconomics 
   • AP Microeconomics 
   • AP Precalculus 
   • AP Spanish Language and Culture 
   • AP U.S. Government and Politics 
   • AP U.S. History 
   • AP World History: Modern 
2. Teach in a high school that meets at least one of these criteria: 
   • At least 50% of the student population consists of underrepresented minorities. 
   • At least 50% of the student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch. (Use the National Center for Education Statistics website to search for your private school or public school. Your school’s entry will show the total number of students by race/ethnicity, and the numbers of students eligible for free and reduced-price lunch.) 
3. Not have any additional sources of funding (for example, state funding) for professional learning. 
4. Not have received an AP Mentoring fee waiver in the past three years (2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24).
